My semester is officially over <insert
Kermit flail here> and I now have time to breathe. And think.
The thinking is a little slow-going,
being that I've barely slept in days, but I'm not stressing about
studying anymore, so my head is at least a little clearer.
I've been thinking about the past nine months and all the things I've
done. I think one of my greatest accomplishments came just yesterday
afternoon.
What
happened, you ask?
I had
a conversation with someone. And not just a conversation, but one in
which I barely felt uncomfortable at all. And it wasn't just someone.
It was someone I didn't even know. I'd never seen her before in my
life! But we had a conversation, and I held eye contact with her, and
when I laughed it was genuine and not out of nerves.
I
could not tell you the last time that happened... if it has ever
happened before. It's no big deal for most people, but it's a very
remarkable step for me. The perfect way to end the school year, I
think.
